The Names of God. His Character Revealed

by Melissa Spoelstra

There are many voices shaping how we think about God. Culture speaks. Opinions speak. Even well-meaning believers sometimes blur the picture. This study invites us back to something older and steadier. The names of God.

Names matter. In Scripture, they are not labels but revelations. They tell us who God is, how He relates to His people, and what His heart is toward creation. When we study His names, we stop shaping God in our image and remember that we are made in His.

The Names of God leads women on a thoughtful journey through the many names of our triune God. From El and Elohim, to Yahweh and His many combinations, to names like Abba, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Each name opens a window into His character and invites a deeper, more personal trust.

Whether you have walked with God for years or are just beginning to know Him, this study grounds faith in truth. As our understanding becomes clearer, our relationship becomes closer. We do not just learn about God. We come to know Him.
