What We Believe

At Servant’s Church, our beliefs are rooted in the authority of Scripture and centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ. These convictions guide our teaching, shape our worship, and form the foundation of our life together as a church family.

  • We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the verbally inspired, God-breathed Word of God. The Bible is the final authority for faith, life, and conduct. It is inerrant in the original manuscripts, infallible in its truth, and fully sufficient to equip the believer for every good work.

God has revealed Himself through His Word so that we may know Him, trust Him, and walk in obedience to Him. Scripture is living and active, revealing truth, correcting error, and leading us into righteousness.

    Scripture References:
    Matthew 5:18
    John 16:12–13
    John 17:17
    2 Timothy 3:16–17
    Hebrews 4:12
    2 Peter 1:20–21

  • We believe there is one living and true God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal in power and glory, co-eternal in nature, and possess the same divine attributes and perfections.

The Triune God carries out distinct yet harmonious roles in the work of creation, providence, and redemption. Though distinct in person, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one God.

    Scripture References:
    Genesis 1:1
    Deuteronomy 6:4
    Matthew 28:19
    John 1:1
    2 Corinthians 13:14
    Ephesians 4:5–6

  • We believe in God the Father, an infinite and personal Spirit who is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He mercifully concerns Himself with the affairs of humanity, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

God the Father is sovereign over creation, providence, and redemption. In His sovereignty, He is neither the author nor approver of sin, nor does He remove human responsibility. From eternity past, He graciously chose those who would belong to Him, according to His purpose and grace, not based on human merit.

    Scripture References:
    John 3:16
    Romans 1:7
    Ephesians 1:4–6
    Ephesians 2:8–9
    1 Peter 1:3
    Isaiah 46:9–10
    James 1:13

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man without ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary in order to reveal God and redeem sinful humanity.

Jesus lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and willingly gave Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins through His death on the cross. Our justification is secured by His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead. He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father, serving as our High Priest, Intercessor, and Advocate.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return again to judge the living and the dead and that He is Lord over all creation.

    Scripture References:
    John 1:1–2
    Luke 1:35
    Romans 3:24
    1 Corinthians 15:3–4
    Hebrews 7:25
    Romans 8:34
    Philippians 2:9–10

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, baptizes all believers into the body of Christ, and indwells, sanctifies, instructs, empowers, and seals believers unto the day of redemption.

The believer is commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit, living in dependence upon His power for daily life and service. The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to the church for the work of ministry and the building up of the body of Christ.

    Scripture References:
    John 16:8–11
    Acts 1:8
    Acts 2:4
    Romans 8:9
    1 Corinthians 12:7, 11–14
    Ephesians 5:18

  • We believe that humanity was directly created by God in His own image and likeness, free from sin, with moral responsibility and accountability to the Creator.

Through disobedience, humanity fell from innocence into sin, incurring spiritual and physical death and becoming subject to the wrath of God. As a result, every person is spiritually lost and incapable of rescuing themselves apart from divine grace.

Humanity must therefore be redeemed and restored through the saving work of Jesus Christ alone.

    Scripture References:
    Genesis 1:26–27
    Genesis 3:1–19
    Romans 3:23
    Romans 5:12
    Romans 6:23
    Ephesians 2:1–3

  • We believe that salvation is the gift of God, given by grace and received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is made possible through the shedding of Christ’s blood for the forgiveness of sins.

Through repentance and faith, the believer is justified before God, united with Christ in His death and resurrection, and granted eternal life. Salvation is entirely the work of God’s grace and not the result of human effort.

    Scripture References:
    John 1:12
    Ephesians 2:8–10
    Romans 5:1
    1 Peter 1:18–19
    Luke 22:20

We hold these beliefs with humility, conviction, and gratitude, seeking to live them out through faithful worship, loving community, and obedient service to Christ.
