Step Into the Story—And Help Change Lives
Each year at the San Diego County Fair, over 2,500 kids and adults visit the CEF Story Castle, where the gospel is shared through interactive storytelling and creative visuals—some hearing it for the very first time.
We can’t do it without volunteers like you!
We’re looking for joyful, willing hearts to help staff the Story Castle. Whether you’re a teacher, student, parent, or part of a church group—there’s a place for you!
Perks for Volunteers:
- Free fair admission (groups of 3 per shift)
- T-shirt and training included
- 4-hour shifts—serve, then enjoy the fair!
Be part of something meaningful and eternal. Sign up today—spots fill fast!
After you submit your registration, you may sign up for your shift(s). Below are the two steps to do so.
(1) Go to the Google Doc (click here) to view what slots are Open / Closed.
Pick out two dates, one as an alternative date.
(2) After you know which open shift(s) you would like, call (760) 410-8484 (Ferdinand) to reserve your spot! (Note: Please only call after you have registered and chosen a training date)
When you leave a voicemail, please include your full name, phone number, and desired shifts.
Note: On the first day you serve, you will need to pay for parking. For any subsequent days, our chapter will reimburse you for your parking cost. Thank you if you can serve multiple days!
Remember to sign up for your shift(s) as soon as possible, to secure your desired dates and times!
If you are unable to serve in the Story Castle but would like to donate toward the fair ministry, please visit our
donation page (be sure to put Fair Ministry on the memo line of your check, or select it from the dropdown menu on the online giving form).
