Every Welcome Matters

When you walk through the doors of Servant’s Church, someone is there to greet you—with a smile, a handshake, a kind word, or maybe even a hug. That someone is part of our Ushers Ministry.

It may seem simple, but it's sacred: creating space where people feel seen, safe, and welcomed into the presence of God.

“Passing the love of our Lord through you to others.”

It’s not just hospitality—it’s holy work.

  • In a world full of isolation and distance, connection matters. A warm welcome can soften hearts, break down walls, and open the way for someone to truly receive the message of Jesus.

We meet those needs with presence, patience, and the love of Christ.

  • This is more than just showing up—this is answering the call of John 13:34:

“Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”

The love we show isn’t our own—it’s a reflection of the Father’s heart. Unshakable. Unconditional. Unseen but unmistakably felt.

  • We’re praying for cheerful, selfless servants who want to quietly shape someone’s Sunday in a meaningful way. If you love people, love Jesus, and want to reflect His welcome—this is your ministry.

  • Ushers serve every 5 weeks (once per rotation), for one or both Sunday services. Duties include:
    – Greeting and guiding people with warmth and care
    – Identifying and connecting with newcomers
    – Supporting the pastoral staff as needed
    – Offering help to those in need
    – Setting up the sanctuary
    – Preparing communion elements

  • If you feel called to serve through kindness, presence, and quiet strength, we’d love to have you.

Because sometimes, the first smile someone sees on a Sunday morning…
is the first glimpse they get of God’s love.
