A simple wooden church structure built in Ethiopia for $500. The building is made of vertical wooden slats and sticks, with a metal sheet roof and cloth coverings for windows. It stands on a grassy patch, surrounded by trees and banana plants—modest, yet full of purpose and faith.

In partnership with an indigenous Ethiopian ministry, Servant’s Church has been actively involved in Ethiopia church planting and clean water initiatives. Together, we supported the launch of eight new churches in regions where there were previously no established Christian communities. Church planters Biniam, Efrem, Tamirat, and Gelgelo have now witnessed approximately 150 former Muslims respond to the gospel and become part of these new, emerging churches.

As part of our commitment to holistic missions, this effort in Ethiopia church planting and clean water also included the placement of 10 water filtration systems. These systems were installed in critical areas where access to clean water is not only a physical necessity but a means of building trust and opening doors for the gospel.

Through this outreach, we’ve seen lives transformed—spiritually and physically. This moment is just one chapter in a broader story of hope, discipleship, and kingdom growth in Ethiopia.
