Let Us Introduce Ourselves To You . . .Welcome Latest revision for this page 1/2010 WelcomeAs a fellowship we strive to be:
History of Calvary ChapelCalvary Chapel of Fallbrook is one of over 1100 Calvary Chapel affiliates throughout the world. What began as a single church of 25 members in Costa Mesa under the pastorate of Chuck Smith in 1965, has grown into an international ministry. Calvary Chapel of Fallbrook began as a home Bible study with three families in 1977. We incorporated under the non-profit corporation laws of the State of California in 1978. Though affiliated with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, we are independent and self-governing with God's Word as our authority and the Holy Spirit as our guide.
Purpose StatementWe emphasize these five aspects of ministry...
Church LeadershipThe Board of Directors oversees the spiritual, administrative and financial decisions concerning church direction and general scope of ministry. The Board of Elders provides the spiritual leadership of the various ministries to the congregation. Ministry Planning Teams assist in organizing and implementing our various ministries. Leadership Training is provided for the staff and elders at various times throughout the year.
Membership, Sacraments & DedicationsMembership is not formal. We believe that all believers are members of God's family as they place their trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Those who attend Calvary Chapel of Fallbrook demonstrate their support by attending, praying for this fellowship and tithing. Water Baptism (mp3 / m3u) is for those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins and understand the meaning of a life in Christ. This a public declaration of faith before the Body of Christ. Communion is celebrated on a monthly basis as we remember the body of Christ that was broken for us (represented by the bread), and His blood, which was shed for the forgiveness of sins (represented by the cup). Dedication of Infants is a time in which parents vow to lead their children in God's love and truth. Calvary Chapel of Fallbrook takes this opportunity to pray for these young ones that they will grow in the knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ as Savior.
Adult MinistriesOur Life Development Classes provide a systematic approach to spiritual growth and effective service. Class 101 is a basic introduction to our church family and covers our beliefs, sacraments and our vision for ministry. Koinonia Groups are weekly home Bible studies that provide fellowship and spiritual growth in a small group setting. Men's Ministry events include Bible studies, retreats, breakfasts, conferences and special guest speakers. Women's Ministry events include Bible studies, retreats, conferences, teas and guest speakers.
Youth MinistriesOur youth ministries (for Jr. High and Sr. High School) include weekly Bible studies, discipleship training, summer and winter camps, and outreach opportunities. Our ministry for these students is called The Edge.
Children's MinistriesKid's Country is our ministry outreach to children, birth through grade 6. At Kid's Country, our children's ministry team strives to help children feel a warm sense of belonging to their church family. Our desire is to aid children in accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and to mentor them in a personal relationship with Him. Our team helps each child to understand that God's Word (The Bible) is relevant, and that growth in Bible knowledge results in positive changes in attitudes, actions and lifestyle. We invite and encourage children to participate in ministry.
Outreach MinistriesThere are many ways in which we share the knowledge and love of Christ to those around us. These have included...
This We BelieveThe Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for our faith and conduct. God is the Creator of man and all things, eternally existing in three Persons in the three-fold relationship of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the Incarnation of God in the flesh who became man, without ceasing to be God, and through Whom we receive forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life. The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, Who indwells, regenerates, seals, anoints, empowers and gifts all believers. Sin is rebellion against God and His commands. The sin nature is within everyone causing us to be separated from God and destined for His judgment. Salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal trust in Jesus Christ. It encompasses the forgiveness of all our sins - past, present and future. The Church is the worldwide Body of Christ on earth, with Jesus as its Head and comprises all believers who have placed their faith in Jesus.
We encourage you to become active and involved in those areas of interest to you. May God richly bless you! The Family of Calvary Chapel |
